Baroque Door Knob
thingiverse
This is a compact baroque door knob that was carefully crafted in Blender 2.8 as a replacement for the original handle that broke. The model was printed vertically at an incredibly fine layer height of just 0.12 mm using standard PLA material. The knob itself has a diameter of approximately 2.5 cm, or roughly one inch, but can be scaled to suit your needs in any slicer software. To assemble the part, you'll need to insert a threaded component into the small hole. To do this, simply place the threaded insert above the hole and touch it with a soldering iron - the heat from the iron will secure the insert firmly into place within the plastic part. The hole for the threaded insert on the 3D model is precisely 5.85 mm in diameter. This door knob has been put to good use on a bathroom cabinet for several months, and I'm confident that you'll find it just as functional and appealing!
