Sandstone block, discovered in the Grey Stones area of Barningham Moor, County Durham, showcases a large quarried stone forming part of an enclosure walling belonging to a Romano-British settlement. This carving was documented by Beckensall & Laurie in their 1998 publication 'Prehistoric Rock Art of County Durham, Swaledale and Wensleydale', where it was referenced as number 2. In 2008, the NADRAP team added this carving to ERA, listing it as 'Barningham Moor 97'. The NADRAP team recorded that the motifs consist of five shallow cups forming a domino pattern towards the south-east corner, and two further cups to the north-west. Four feathering marks are located in the center of the stone and four irregular depressions, likely to be bullet holes, are on the south side. The ERA record can be found at https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=838, while Historic England area scheduling can be accessed at https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1017439. A 3D model was created from 10 stereo pairs captured by the NADRAP Team 5 in May 2006, and this imagery is part of the full NADRAP archive.
