Positioned east of How Tallon ridge, on Barningham Moor, County Durham. Located in a dense cluster of carvings west of the settlement, this elongated stone is referenced 64 in the 1998 publication 'Prehistoric Rock Art of County Durham, Swaledale and Wensleydale. The team added it to ERA as 'Barningham Moor 85' in 2008 after NADRAP's addition. The team recorded: "The motifs on this stone consist of eight definite cups in two parallel rows of four, with grooves joining the cups in parallel pairs." All features are extremely worn, especially the connecting grooves which are only visible in oblique lighting. A solution hole is positioned centrally on the groove connecting the most northerly pair...
