Barningham Moor 82 (Oct 2006)
sketchfab
Stone situated to the west of How Tallon ridge, on Barningham Moor, County Durham. This rectangular block was discovered during NADRAP surveys in 2005 and initially believed to be a new find. However, it had actually been documented in Paul & Barbara Brown’s 2008 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art in the Northern Dales’. Added to ERA as ‘Barningham Moor 82’ in 2008, the NADRAP team reported: A bowl-like cup is located on the south end and may have been water-eroded. A domino pattern of five cups can be seen at the north end; the cups here are shallow with the two most westerly cups being fainter. The central cup is small and irregular, possibly natural. The imagery forms part of the full NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England
