Carved stone positioned to the west of How Tallon ridge, on Barningham Moor, County Durham. This diamond shape stone sits in a dense cluster of other carvings to the west of the settlement area. It's referenced 58a in Beckensall & Laurie's 1998 publication 'Prehistoric Rock Art of County Durham, Swaledale and Wensleydale', and was added to ERA by NADRAP as 'Barningham Moor 77' in 2008. The team recorded: "...The motifs consist of one cup in a central position (0.05m diameter and 0.03m depth) and two further depressions at the north west end." On this model, the central cup appears to have faint traces of a partial ring... could be natural though. ERA record: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=879 Historic England area scheduling: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1017441 Model created from 3 stereo pairs captured by NADRAP Team 5 in October 2006. The imagery forms part of the full NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England.
