Small rectangle stone, situated between empty paths, northwest of How Tallon ridge, on Barningham Moor, County Durham. This small stone is located about 16 feet north (downslope) of Barningham Moor 72 and is one of several carvings forming a dense cluster in this area of moorland. It’s referenced 51a in Beckensall & Laurie’s 1998 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of County Durham, Swaledale and Wensleydale’, and was added to ERA by NADRAP as ‘Barningham Moor 73’ in 2008. The team discovered: The motifs consist of three similar-sized cups centrally placed, and one natural solution hole on the south side.
