sketchfab
Rock discovered on Barningham Moor, north of Eel Hill, in County Durham. This possible carving was initially spotted during NADRAP surveys on Barningham Moor. Several depressions are visible on the surface, some of which are clearly natural formations, while others display profiles similar to eroded cups. Barningham Moor 56 is referenced on ERA, a team record: "This is a flat panel that stands slightly raised above the ground. Multiple natural depressions can be seen on the stone, with five possible cups located towards the southern end." ERA record: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=855 The model was created from eight stereo pairs captured by NADRAP Team 5 in June 2006. The imagery makes up part of the full NADRAP archive, which has been deposited with Historic England and Northumberland County Council.
