Upright stone discovered in western section of Washbeck Green, Barningham Moor, County Durham. Carved into place after quarrying, this stone likely bears the marks of a skilled craftsman's hand. Multiple stones nearby show evidence of quarrying activity, suggesting they too were crafted by human hands. On its now southwestern-facing vertical side, intricate designs unfold, featuring cups, rings, and connecting grooves that weave a complex pattern. Cited in Beckensall & Laurie's 1998 publication 'Prehistoric Rock Art of County Durham, Swaledale and Wensleydale', this stone was added to the ERA database by NADRAP as 'Barningham Moor 52' in 2008.
