This ground level stone, situated north of Eel Hill on Barningham Moor, County Durham, draws attention.\nListed as reference 26 in Beckensall & Laurie's 1998 publication 'Prehistoric Rock Art of County Durham, Swaledale and Wensleydale', the carving was added to ERA by NADRAP under the designation 'Barningham Moor 41' in 2008. The NADRAP Team 5 describes: \n"The motifs on this stone consist of; two large shallow cups joined by a groove, with several smaller cups in between, a large flat bottomed cup mark located on the south edge and multiple other cups of varying sizes. Turf covers the rock's south edge."\nOn the three-dimensional model, the groove appears to have two phases of carving, with superimposition clearly visible.\nERA record: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=840\nHistoric England area scheduling: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1017439\nThe 3D model was created from two stereo pairs captured by NADRAP Team 5 in November 2006.
