sketchfab
Carving in the Black Hill Gate area of Barningham Moor, County Durham is situated.\nThis small square rock may have been extracted from a quarry. Possibly discovered by NADRAP surveys, it was added to ERA as 'Barningham Moor 25' in 2008. The team describes:\n"The earthbound, square, possibly quarried panel lies level with the ground and partly covered by turf. Five cups are carved into it; a natural ripple effect can be seen on the north to west sides."\nIt's likely that these small rocks were not intended to convey a message to casual passers-by, as you only notice the depressions when standing within a few metres.\nERA record https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=824\nThe model was created from 5 directional images captured by NADRAP Team 5 in March 2007. The imagery forms part of the ERA / NADRAP archive.
