Triangular stone discovered on Barningham Moor, a site located within County Durham. This stone is typically surrounded by heather and can be found at the bottom of a colluvial wedge formed from a short scarp face. The carving was first identified during English Heritage surveys and was referenced as 'Barningham Moor 114' by NADRAP, with an entry added to ERA in 2008. Various records indicate between 2-4 linear grooves featuring cups on the northern sloping surface. A model shows 4 clear grooves and a faint fifth groove. The ERA record is available at https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=917, while the Historic England area scheduling can be viewed at https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1017443. This model was created from 4 stereo pairs captured by NADRAP Team 5 in August 2006, and is part of the full NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England.
