Ground level stone discovered within a dense cluster of others north of Eel Hill, on Barningham Moor, County Durham. This stone was identified as a new find during NADRAP surveys in 2006 and referenced 'Barningham Moor 103' on ERA. However, the 2008 publication of 'Prehistoric Rock Art in the Northern Dales' revealed it had first been discovered by Paul Brown in 2000 but not reported. The NADRAP team documented: "This stone features two shallow eroded depressions near its center. The easterly depression is more cup-like, while both features are slightly irregular and may be natural erosion of cement weakness." ERA record: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=906 Historic England area scheduling: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1017439 Model created from a single stereo pair captured by NADRAP Team 5 in April 2007. The imagery forms part of the ERA / NADRAP archive.
