Carving in the Washbeck Green area of Barningham Moor, County Durham is discovered during NADRAP recording in June 2006. This rock forms part of the ERA launch in August 2008, being approximately 1.9m long and fairly flat to the ground. Unfortunately, since its discovery it has been covered and re-covered several times, leaving it half exposed in spring 2018. The carving is set within a scheduled area rich in archaeology. Motifs on the carving are complex, with interlinking grooves, cups and rings covering most of the upper surface. Pecking is still visible, particularly at the southern end where a natural bowl has been enhanced. Whether the whole design is contemporary or the result of phases isn't apparent, but there doesn't appear to be any sign of superimposition.
