Barney stopped by us at the Big Bang Fair and took a ride through our 3D scanning rig, which features an impressive array of 96 DSLR cameras snapping a total of 1.8 Giga pixels of data for each scan. We worked with our buddies at CapturingReality.com to process the data - their software expertly analyzed each image, pinpointing unique points on each and then mapping these points in 3D space when they appeared in more than one image.
