Barnaba Tortolini (19 November 1808 – 24 August 1874) was a renowned Italian mathematician and priest who spearheaded the scientific unification of Italy from an early stage. He launched the first internationally recognized Italian scientific journal and served as a respected mathematics professor at Rome University for three decades. As a prolific researcher, Tortolini had over one hundred mathematical papers published in prominent journals across Italy, France, and Germany.
