See 1:1 scale at http://www.eddiem.com/house. A potential layout for a kit barn-based house is being considered, loosely based on https://www.sheds.com.au/steel-kit-homes/country-home/. However, the design features a customized floor plan and an extra three meters in length. Alternative barns with an extra meter in width on the top floor are also under consideration - this increased space will make a significant difference. The intended site is off-grid and located near a wetland, imposing unique constraints not present elsewhere. Solar panels installed on sun-facing (north) roofs require no shadows, while the composting toilet is situated away from these panels and the wetlands. Additionally, the upper bathroom is conveniently positioned near the composting toilet to facilitate installation of a low-flush toilet. The upper floor will serve as living space, with the lower level allocated for workshops and parking - with the exception of toilet and laundry facilities. The design can be 3D printed at 1% scale. To minimize potential issues, the main house is divided into five print-friendly sections. A .4 nozzle yields better results than a .6 nozzle. For support purposes, the thinnest walls are designed for easy removal. At present, printing of roofs has not been completed.
