Barn (28mm scale)
thingiverse
I wanted to create a barn that was more than just a hand-drawn sketch on a battle map. I envisioned small villages in my game, each with its own unique charm and character. But all I could find were laser-cut barns or model barns designed for train landscapes. So, I decided to design one myself. The barn has two floors, both of which have extra height to accommodate something big and nasty inside. The second floor only covers half the first floor, giving me flexibility in its orientation. By placing the ladder in the middle of the barn, I can easily switch between having the second floor at the front or back of the building. Like all my designs, this one is simple yet effective. The doors are hinged with holes that are perfectly sized for 16-gauge tie wire - a thick paperclip would also work as a substitute. My goal was to create something practical and enjoyable, and I hope you will too.
