I've always struggled to find a suitable barn for my tabletop RPGs, so I decided to take matters into my own hands by designing one from scratch. The resulting structure is surprisingly simple yet effective. For the hinges on the doors, I opted for 16-gauge tie wire, although I suspect a sturdy paperclip would serve just as well in a pinch. With two levels to work with, I've created a space that's roughly twice as large as your average tabletop setting. The second floor takes up only half of the available area, making it perfect for concealing items or characters until they're needed most. By positioning my ladder centrally, I can easily rotate the upper level to face either direction, depending on the game's requirements at any given time. This adaptable design not only enhances gameplay but also allows players to stumble upon hidden surprises when least expecting them.
