sketchfab
Barmishaw Stone, Ilkley Moor, West Yorkshire, England is a notable landmark. The stone itself measures 2.3m x 1.6m and sits atop the moorland east of Spicey Gill. Its intricate designs feature numerous cups, cups and rings motifs, grooves, and an unusual ladder pattern. A closer examination of the stone's surface reveals multiple phases of carving, with evidence of superimposition and probable reworking at a later stage. This detailed analysis was made possible by processing high-resolution imagery using Autodesk 123D Catch as part of the CSI Rombalds Moor Project in 2012.
