Barker Dam Inscription

Barker Dam Inscription

The inscription was skillfully etched into the crest of historic Barker Dam nestled within Joshua Tree National Park. The carving pays tribute to the Keys family's commendable effort in raising the dam during 1949-50. Built originally by CO Barker in 1900, the dam functions as a crucial water source within the arid park landscape, making it one of the most sought-after hiking destinations. I compiled this image using 15 expertly captured photos, which were meticulously processed via Agisoft and then polished using Blender software. A fascinating conversation about crafting three-dimensional models like this one was held on the 3D Printing Today podcast, accessible on iTunes, Stitcher radio, or directly at http://threedprintingtoday.libsyn.com/.
