At Trieste every year in October, a thrilling challenge unfolds, as over 2000 sailboats gather to compete in the prestigious Barcolana regatta. This time around, I had an idea - to design a unique lamp to commemorate the 49th edition of this iconic event. To bring my vision to life, I opted for a minimalist approach: printing with three walls, zero infill, and three top layers, while omitting the bottom layer altogether. With favorable winds forecasted, it seemed like the perfect combination was within reach.
