This family of three-inch cube puzzles consists of six identical-looking pieces that slide in and out of each other along unpredictable diagonal paths. The iconic Barcode Burr design follows a binary sequence of movement, requiring 64 moves to release the first piece, then 32 more for the second, followed by 16, eight, and four moves to fully disassemble. Each of the six pieces is crafted from a single "piece body" component paired with two attachment pieces called the "tab insert" and "pusher arm insert", resulting in a total of eighteen printable parts (six bodies and twelve inserts). The puzzle looks visually striking when printed with inserts in a different color than the piece bodies. All parts are easy to print, as no support material is needed. In addition to the classic Barcode Burr insert set, this download also includes insert sets for other increasingly complex puzzle designs, all of which utilize the same basic piece body components.
