Barcelona Panots Pot

Barcelona Panots Pot

This is a simple pen pot design and its companion model. I created it to gain insight into the city that drives me mad. Let me explain what Panots are, so every time you see this pot, you'll be reminded of Barcelona. Their history is deeply rooted in the most significant period of urban growth in the Catalan capital's past. The panot of Barcelona is a tile crafted from cement, sand, and water, featuring a four-petaled flower design. At the turn of the 20th century, Barcelona was known as "Can Fanga" due to the vast amounts of mud that accumulated on its sidewalks. In 1906, the City Council issued a public call for bids to manufacture 10,000 square meters of tiles, along with a sample of designs whose origins remain unknown. These designs included a flower, a skull, concentric circles, four pills, and four pills surrounded by four circles. Now I've compiled these designs into one convenient collection so you can admire them at your leisure. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Thanks for being part of this community! Feel free to 3D print it and share your creations with us!
