Barbie Doll Earring

Barbie Doll Earring

My daughter has a Barbie doll that wears removable earrings, and she lost one, so I set out to create a replacement. To do this, I designed these little plugs that can be easily inserted into the doll's head through holes in the ear, giving them a nice little stud look similar to the original earring. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer Model: Printrbot Plus Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 100% Notes: I printed this at high quality with a Printrbot Play, using 0.1mm layers and no raft to make removal easy. Painter's tape and purple glue stick worked well together. Designing the Earring: I used Microsoft 3D Builder to create the design, importing basic shapes and moving them around until I got what I wanted. It took eight prints and five designs before I came up with this one, but it turned out great in the end.
