This barbell holder screws into the wall with 4 #8 screws, ideally with a washer 12mm or smaller in diameter. I used screws that were 2.5in long going into drywall anchors and it seems to be holding well but ideally you will be able to at least get the two middle screws into a stud because two bars is a lot of weight for drywall. It is designed to fit bars up to 35mm wide with a collar up to 80mm.
