Baptismal font, Church Sainte-Renelde of Saintes

myminifactory

Baptismal font from the Church Sainte-Renelde of Saintes, located in Tubize, Walloon Brabant, created during the second half of the 15th century using limestone hennuyer. This piece is now housed at the Musée du Cinquantenaire in Brussels, Belgium, where it can be viewed and studied with the help of ReMake and ReCap Pro software from AutoDesk. Throughout the Gothic period, stone font production continued steadily, responding to demand as needed. However, we do not see a resurgence in activity comparable to what occurred during the 12th century.
