Baofeng UV-5R Radio RAM Mount Radio Holder

This is a RAM mount compatible holder for the Baofeng UV-5R FM mobile radio. The holder design includes a slot for using a vehicle powered battery eliminator if desired. A handful of these have accumulated thousands of miles of rough road use without failure, though it is recommended that a safety tether be used. The holders in service were printed using 3DX carbon fiber nylon. Note that this material is abrasive and over time will create wear points on the radio. These are cosmetic issues. An alternative is to print using unfilled ASA or ABS, but these materials have not been field tested. PLA is not recommended, except perhaps to check fits of a print for making adjustments if needed. Use at your own risk.
