Are you a ham looking to take your Baofeng UV-5R or other compact mobile transceiver on the go? Our rugged UV-5R clip mount is designed to keep your radio securely in place while navigating rough roads and obstacles, yet still allows for fast removal when you need quick access. The clip hole dimensions are carefully optimized to balance the radio's stability with rapid retrieval. We highly recommend printing at 40% or higher rectilinear infill for maximum strength. Our tests demonstrate a tenfold factor of safety against common forces encountered in moderate off-road driving, even with a stock Baofeng configuration and low-capacity battery. The only practical limitation is the strength of the adhesive. We don't currently offer a screw-mount version, but we highly recommend using 3M automotive adhesive for easy removal and high-strength attachment.
