Baofeng DM-1701 Radio Car Holder
thingiverse
MSHax designed a custom Baofeng UV-5R car holder on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1695772). The fit was spot-on, but I created a new version using Fusion 360 to accommodate the Baofeng DM-1701 due to its slightly longer and wider belt clip. To make it easier to insert the belt clip into the holder, I rounded some edges. Additionally, I omitted the holes, assuming many users might not want to drill into their car panel; instead, they can use double-sided tape for a secure hold. For printing, I set the layer height to 0.2 and 20% infill, which produced a noticeably better finish compared to 0.28. The print was done upright using Cura. A video showcasing the holder is available on YouTube (https://youtu.be/7Lx2pU_5FdM).
