The structure was erected in the late '50s, marking a turning point for Streda's cultural scene. Initially, it served as a multipurpose facility, featuring a theater, cinema, library, and social hub for events. The club was actually the workplace of a long-standing construction company that had been operating within the district. It wasn't long before youth organizations began to call it home as well. Over time, the center slowly became obsolete, and ownership eventually changed hands from the government-controlled regime to private interests. Firstly, Dexia Bank moved in, followed by Bank Prima. Local entrepreneur Mikoczi then acquired a portion of the building, transforming it into a base for smaller-scale businesses and shops outside the main banking operations. Today, despite its current state, the facility presents a clear need for thorough renovation.
