Bangles

Today in society, numerous people fail to realize that the dark moments in life create who we are. It is essential to remember to stay positive, as even the terrible aspects in our life are necessary. In attempt to convey this message, I created bangles based off of the Irapuato Music Hall and Sports Centre. On each bracelet, one word is engraved, overall depicting the quote, “Stars need darkness to shine” (from top to bottom). The building that the bangles are based off of appears to glow at night, as it is shining in the darkness. Essentially, people need negative events in their life in order to shine, and further appreciate the good moments. Each bracelet transitions to a darker shade of blue, as blue is usually associated with depth and stability. It is also symbolic that the bottom bracelets are darker, but the first bracelet is a lighter shade, showing how even gloomy times lead people to shine. These bangles are meant to help those who may suffer from depression and such, as a simple reminder that even their horrid times can result in good. They would serve as a great gift, with a deep message from loved ones. However, these bangles can appeal to anyone who finds great meaning in the words demonstrated.
