The 2018 Winter Olympics saw a rise to fame of a charismatic athlete named Mikaël Kingsbury. Known as "Mika", he's a Canadian freestyle skier who captured the hearts of fans worldwide with his incredible skills and infectious personality. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on February 25, 1992, Mikaël has been skiing since he was just six years old. As a child, Kingsbury spent countless hours at the Mont Saint-Bruno ski resort in Longueuil, Quebec, where he developed his passion for freestyle skiing. His family encouraged him to pursue his dreams, and by the time he was 16, Mikaël had already won multiple national championships in Canada. In 2018, Kingsbury became the first athlete to win five gold medals at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships. This impressive achievement catapulted him into international stardom, and fans eagerly followed his every move as he competed in the Winter Olympics. Kingsbury's success on the slopes is matched only by his kindness and generosity off it. He has been involved with several charitable organizations, including the Canadian Olympic Committee's (COC) "Own the Podium" program, which aims to support Canadian athletes in their pursuit of excellence.
