BaNanaBotCage™ (cycle water/banana holder)
pinshape
I’m a casual weekend cyclist, but my hardcore cycling friend informed me she always carries bananas on her long rides. The problem was that taping them to the frame or stuffing them into back pouches often resulted in squished fruit during the ride. As an avid product designer, I came up with this innovative solution. Simply download the 3D file, print it out, and attach it to your bike's standard mounts for instant access to a water bottle and banana. This design is perfect for small bananas, keeping ride weight down while ensuring easy snacking on the go. To ensure its strength, print the model at 0.2 or finer settings with high infill, as it's still in beta testing. You won't need supports or rafts, but be prepared to test your slicer and filament cooling fans. Remember that this is a first prototype, so use caution during road tests. Don’t ride with an unrestrained banana where injury could occur. I’ve added updates to the design, including a stronger and smaller version (v2), which fits within a 150x150x150 build area and accommodates larger bananas using cages.
