Banana Tracker v1
thingiverse
A unique antenna tracker is crafted using a sturdy 0.75" square dowel and a versatile lazy-susan bearing, both sourced from Home Depot. The free-rotating end leverages a press-fit skate bearing for smooth movement. Servos are secured with exterior mounting tape, providing a reliable hold. A solid plywood base is constructed from 1/2" thick sheets. To achieve perfect balance, the pitch bracket's length is carefully calibrated to position the center of gravity of a mounted Ubiquity Nanostation directly along the axis of the pitch servo. Servos are sourced from HobbyKing: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__28972__HobbyKing_8482_High_Torque_Servo_MG_BB_W_Proof_12_8kg_0_22sec_58g.html. However, other servos may also fit, with output shafts that can be press-fit into 3D-printed brackets and gears.
