Banana Slug
thingiverse
Experience my first endeavor into 3D modeling – a representation of the peculiar Banana slug native to the Pacific Northwest, U.S. These creatures can grow up to 8 inches long! I've crafted ceramic and crocheted versions before, so a plastic one seemed like an exciting new project. While printing at Metrix Create: Space in Seattle, be mindful of the eye stalks as they are fragile and may break off; the slug in the photo has had one repaired with hot glue. I've also modified the design to include a wider base for the eye stalks but haven't printed this version yet. The original file has been revised, featuring thinner/neater optical stalks and a cleaner mesh. Unfortunately, I don't have a Makerbot myself.
With this file you will be able to print Banana Slug with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Banana Slug.
