Banana Plug Quck Disconnect V-Slot Mount for Z-Probe
thingiverse
I needed an easy way out for the Z-Probe on my Openbuilds Sphinx CNC and I came up with a solution. This mounts to the back of the Z-axis C-Beam, protecting it from most debris coming off the CNC machine. There are two versions available - one with a sloped top and another with a flat top. I thought the slope top looked more interesting than a plain roof, but I also created a flat style for those who prefer it. The flat top will print faster. I used M5x16mm screws with drop-in T-Nuts to secure this. I included the Fusion 360 files so you can use them as a starting point for different types of plugs or adjust this design to your liking. There are user parameters that allow you to change dimensions during the design process. I created a simple model of the female banana jack that mounts in the plastic part to help with fitment. One photo shows a previous version without the tunnel for the incoming speaker wire.
