Ban Liang (Chinese Money Mold)

This was a small historical project but still one I think worthy of attention. This is a Ban Liang (currency mold) made by the Chinese throughout their history. This specific one is modeled after one produced by the Qin state (~400BC). Instead of hammering and minting coins they poured metal into these molds. Through this process they were able to get consistent coinage that was efficient to produce.
