BambuLab X1 - Carbon Filter Case

BambuLab X1 - Carbon Filter Case

Hello all,I designed a case for carbon filter pellets that works as a replacement for the filter unit of the X1.The housing holds almost the same amount of filter pellets. You have to use filter pellets with at least 3mm size, i recommend 4mm. If you can, buy pellets made of coconut fibers and activated by steam (buy for air, not for water). I personaly bought these in 3mm, but have no long time experience with them. 3mm pellets4mm pelletsI can't give any guarantee that they will not cause rust. But the stats are good and manufacturer told me, they are used in industrial appliances and work very well. Change every 250 hours if printing ABS or ASA. 1 - 2.5kg are enough for a lot of prints. You may blow out dust with compressed air or use a vacuum cleaner before first time use. I put the pellets in the box, close it and then use an air gun to clean them up, works good.Printer Settings:Support structures: noWalls: 3, Filling: 15%, top and bottom layers: 5Brim: recommended for body, if you use ASA/ABSThe lid can be used for bottom and top. You have to print it twicePrint time for 2 lids and a body is about 3 hoursI already designed some lids for you. But a blank and logo only version is included, so you can design your own. As always from me, step files are included for this. To remove the lid, i recommend pushing on the left and right side of the body. Then lid comes up in mid and you only have to snap of one corner.  Happy printing.Best regardsBrainbug
