This is a remix of Renba's fan mount to allow a little additional airflow. The original ducts all of the air directly into the heat sink, which is good if all you want to do is cool the heat sink, but the original fan also circulated air across the rest of the MC board. (Arguably, the original fan circulated air across everything *except* for the heat sink, but that is neither here nor there, I suppose.) This design installs the fan across the heat sink such that it cools both the heat sink and the surrounding board; additionally, it opens up the sides of the heat sink to allow air to escape, rather than blocking perpendicular to the fins.
