Bambu Lab X1 rear spool spacer and PTFE routing
thingiverse
I wanted a spacer between the spool holder and printer for my Bambu Lab X1 Carbon as their stock configuration makes things a bit tight. I found a model for that but also noticed a model for routing the PTFE tube from the AMS hub. I figured “Why not have both?” so I combined them in Tinkercad and tweaked it a bit to make the screw holds a little wider and make it print WITHOUT supports! I used 2 28mm M3 screws to attach it and this worked well keeping it all tightly together. The screws go in just a little snugly, but I was able to insert them through by hand. You can absolutely mount it fresh off the printbed, but I actually used a small hand drill to bore out the mounting holes just a little so that the screws dropped right through. I decided to do this because getting it to mount perfectly with the tighter holes was proving a challenge and I wanted to make things easier, but this is optional. I printed in PLA in .2mm Strength mode. I considered a stronger filament, but I decided that holding a max of 1kg of filament probably didn't require more strength. If this proves to be a mistake at some point and I decide to print in something stronger, I'll update this description, but I don't think it will be an issue.
