Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Waste Chute
prusaprinters
My existing small bin for the rear of my X1 Carbon would fill up and either overflow or back up into the printer. What I wanted is a waste chute to move all purge material to the front of the printer that worked with the anti-vibration feet. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted, so I designed something that would suit my desire. This bin is absolutely massive, no doubt. It used about 500g of filament, including organic/tree supports. However, it does what I wanted. Each purge is conveyed to the front of the bin so that it's obvious when it's time to empty. Should it every go unnoticed, it should be able to overflow prior to backing up into the printer. I used (5) Ø5mm X 6mm long magnets that fit tight without any glue to hold it in place. Due to the size, I had to print this on my Prusa XL. The lower part is Prusament Galaxy Black PLA and the top part is Overture Black PLA. It completed in just under 14 hours using a .6mm nozzle and .4mm (.40mm DRAFT) layer height.
