Bambu Lab X1 AMS Lid Spacer

Bambu Lab X1 AMS Lid Spacer

This spacer is designed to allow the Bambu Lab AMS to accept slightly larger diameter spools of filament with the lid closed. There are several brands of filament whose spools are larger than the allowed 200mm diameter that the AMS is designed for. By installing this spacer in the groove along the front of the AMS it allows the AMS lid to close, but leaves room at the top of the lid for these taller spools to still rotate. Without this spacer the lid touches the spools and prevents them from being rotated correctly by the internal rollers, causing print failures and filament unspooling. With these spacers installed and the lid closed the AMS is reasonably airtight, so the dessicant should still have some effect. There are two versions. Most users should choose the normal version as it is designed for spools up to 203mm but I've included a taller version that should work with spools as large as 206mm. It was designed to be printed using a brim with the skinny edge on the build plate, but it may print just as well inverted but using supports at the ends. You will need to print both the right and left halves of whichever version you make.
