INITIAL RELEASE (4/25/2023):I made the spool using shapr3d. The locking mechanism is my own design inspired by the Bambu Lab reusable spool. The spool also has a window and gauge for monitoring the remaining amount of filament, and the slots for parking the filament are angled at 45 degrees. The spool is solid to add as much mass as possible and limit flexibility that could cause issues in the AMS. I used adaptive layer height to get the locking mechanism as close to ideal as possible, but it also works at standard layer heights.I've included the Bambu Lab shims, which fit in mine the same way they would in the Bambu Lab branded spools to prevent the spool from separating. I recommend PC, or some other high temperature filament to prevent issues when drying, but PLA works just fine if you have no intent of putting the spool itself into an actively heated space.Print Settings:0.2mm layer height100% infill6 walls
