Bambu Lab Fan Attachment
thingiverse
The housing fan of the Bambu Lab X1 3D printer is glued to the side wall. On arrival of the printer, the fan was loose. So, I decided to design a fan holder to be screwed to the bar where the LED is attached. When installed, the fan holder is completely invisible. Steps: 1. Print the fan holder in ABS or PETG, I used 30% infill. You need to rotate it around the X axis by 180 degrees and use support. 2. Attach 2 M3 nuts with a tape below the top of the fan holder. 3. Detach the fan from the wall. Remove any glue/tape residues from the wall. 4. Unscrew the 3 fan screws on the back of the fan assembly. 5. Attach the fan holder using the 3 screws at the same location. 6. (optional) Attach velcro at the bottom bar. 7. Detach the LED by sliding it a little to the back. 8. Attach the fan holder with 2 M3 screws using the existing holes (going to the taped nuts). 9. Reattach the LED. 10. Done.
