I'm currently experimenting with combining common and repurposed parts with 3D printed pieces to create interesting and useful things. This is a custom-designed spice rack that fits snugly on the edge of my kitchen shelf. To build it, you'll need exactly 35 bamboo skewers, which should be cut to size as needed. The design consists of two structural components: one that you'll print from the included files and another that needs to be mirrored in your slicer before printing. These pieces are attached to my shelf using wood screws and pre-existing screw holes. Additionally, you'll need to print 10 small washer-like parts, which will secure seven bamboo skewers together. To ensure a tight fit, I recommend cutting the skewers to size without the small washer part first, then adding them to secure everything in place. Be extremely cautious with this design and test its stability before loading it up with anything. Don't even think about placing heavy items on it until you've achieved a snug fit for the bamboo skewers. Remember, this spice rack was designed to hold only a few items, not support massive weights. Use it at your own risk – I'm not responsible if something goes wrong. If you want to adapt this design to suit your needs, feel free to remix the model!
