I've worn this bamboo ring on my finger every day since college. My parents brought it back to me from a trip they took to Asia when I was young. They gave it to me as a good luck charm, but the true story behind it is that they said it would keep me grounded. At first, I wore it more for them than for myself. As the years passed by, though, this simple band became an everyday reminder of the impermanence of everything in life and how quickly time slips away.
