This is a baluster spacer for deckwork.If you know what that is, then you're in the right place. If you are just getting into home repairs and are replacing balusters on your deck you can use this to create consistent spacing between the deck rail vertical safety bars. Those are the Balusters. This was sized for the pre-cut balusters you can get at your local hardware store, classified as a 2x2. However, if you use a different type or a different size, the spacing remains the same and it will fit these varying types. When using this, print two of them. Then cut a 2x2 at two feet long and screw this into each end. It should be a tight fit to keep them square and rigid. When placing the first baluster, make certain it is perpendicular to the ground (use a level) and then space each additional one using the printed spacer. This will help things remain consistent allowing construction go to easily.
