Balloon Lights
prusaprinters

I had some spare white, red, green and blue led strip lights and had this fun idea for some balloon lights. Do not scale up or down as the inner surface is 500mm long, which is just long enough for the LED 'cut marks' which are 50mm or 100mm depending on the make n model of strip. If you do want to scale, check the length of the inner surface before printing to ensue it's a multiple of the cut length your working too.
There are 2 version of the balloon, for different wire diameters. I originally made the white one and the wire I used was thinner than the RGB baloons. The RGB baloons use a 3mm dia. wire so I made the 3mm version of the balloon to accommodate the thicker wire. Getting the wires into the zig-zag path at the bottom of the balloon does take a bit of squashing, but that was the intention to prevent the wires being pulled out accidentally. Same goes for the "3 way splitter" if you decide to make three.

Print instructions

I printed at 0.2mm layer height and no supports.
