Balloon Cart Kit

Balloon Cart Kit

If you've ever wanted to teach engineering students how to develop and conduct their own experiments while optimizing a balloon propelled cart through 3d printing, but didn't know where to start, you're in luck! This 3D printable kit is designed to help students learn the engineering design process by providing pre-made 3D printed carts for testing. The idea behind this project came from a class activity where students made balloon carts out of recycled materials. The goal was to introduce students to testing various aspects of the cart, such as wheel type and diameter, but the actual building and collecting of materials took too long and became the main focus. This 3D printed kit solves that problem by providing pre-made carts for students to test. Later, students can apply what they learn from the initial testing to design their own better 3D-printed carts.
