Balloon Bugatti Type 35
thingiverse
The original text described a balloon car inspired by the Bugatti Type 35, first produced in 1924 and last manufactured in 1931. This iconic vehicle was unique for its time as it could be driven both on the road and in races. The engine had an 8-cylinder in-line design with 3 valves per cylinder, operated by overhead camshafts. It had a carburetor of two Solex types and generated 90 horsepower at 5500 revolutions per minute. The car was equipped with four forward gears and tire size of 710 x 90. The provided STL files are for 3D printing, three of which are for assembly. The original body has been replaced with a solid one scaled to 90% of the Replicator 2's maximum size for easier printing in one go. The wheels and hubs were printed separately due to desired color differences. To fix the hubs onto the axles, a dab of polystyrene cement was used, creating a semi-permanent bond. However, the wheels and hubs might require some reaming to fit properly. This model was designed in 3dsMax and can be provided in other file formats upon request. The user is currently printing this design and will report any issues.
